on complexity and volume of work.
P.S. (for students) I saw similar work on restoration
on web site of one young designer. But excellent knowledge of
design programs will not replace knowledge of anatomy because
for this work it's necessary to know well a construction of the
head and of each part of the human face, how it looks in different
foreshortenings and illumination. Example shows that the image
of the right eye is bly damaged and in this case simple "copying"
from the left eye with "horizontal reflection" can't
solve the problem. To restore this portrait, I had "to draw"
anew the right eye - without knowledge of anatomy and experience
of the portraitist it is impossible.
